A woman sits peacefully on a rocky cliff overlooking a calm pink-hued sea at sunset. Dressed in a soft pink jumper and light trousers, she gazes towards the horizon as the sun sets over distant hills. Elegant text overlays the image reading, "The real transformation isn't finding a relationship. It's becoming the woman who is ready for one." The image conveys self-reflection, healing, personal growth and emotional readiness for healthy love.

What My Most Successful Clients Have in Common

July 03, 20266 min read

When women first come to work with me, they often believe their problem is dating.

They think they need to meet better men.

Be more confident.

Learn how to communicate better.

Or somehow become more attractive.

But after years of coaching high-achieving women through heartbreak, divorce, unhealthy relationships and dating struggles, I've noticed something interesting.

The women who create the biggest transformations all have one thing in common.

It's not confidence.

It's not age.

It's not how long they've been single.

It's their willingness to look at what's really holding them back.

Today I want to share the stories of three clients whose lives changed dramatically after doing exactly that.

The Lone Wolf

Client A came to me six months after leaving a controlling relationship.

On paper, she was doing brilliantly.

She had bought her own home.

Built a successful career.

Had great friends.

Created a life she was proud of.

But she wanted a relationship.

As we started working together, something became clear.

Although she knew her previous relationship had been unhealthy, she hadn't fully processed what she'd been through.

She had become so focused on surviving and proving she could do life alone that she hadn't given herself permission to heal.

In my Love Blocking Archetypes Quiz, she was a classic Lone Wolf.

The Lone Wolf is the woman who has learned to rely on herself for everything.

She is fiercely independent.

Capable.

Strong.

But often that independence has been built from pain.

As we worked together, she began acknowledging the behaviours she had tolerated and the impact they had left behind.

She stopped pretending she was fine.

She started healing.

Most importantly, she realised she didn't need another person to create safety in her life.

She could create safety within herself.

Six months later she was confidently dating.

Over a year later she messaged me to tell me she had met someone amazing and was taking a sabbatical from work to travel the world with him.

The transformation wasn't finding a relationship.

The transformation was learning to trust herself again.

The Fixer

Client B came to me after the breakdown of a seventeen-year marriage.

She had a daughter.

A new home.

A growing career.

And despite everything she'd been through, she had started dating again.

She had met someone she thought was wonderful.

But she wanted to make sure she didn't repeat old patterns.

In my quiz she was very much The Fixer.

The Fixer spends so much time understanding everyone else that she often forgets to prioritise herself.

She is caring.

Compassionate.

Supportive.

But she struggles to trust her own needs and instincts.

Through our coaching sessions she began understanding where her beliefs had come from and how her past experiences were still influencing her present.

Before coaching she had a very anxious attachment style.

She constantly questioned herself.

She worried about getting things wrong.

She struggled to trust her intuition.

As her confidence grew, she started listening to herself more.

Then something unexpected happened.

The man she was dating turned out not to be who she thought he was.

Years earlier this discovery would have shattered her confidence.

Instead, it became one of her biggest breakthroughs.

Because she realised she had seen the warning signs.

She had trusted herself.

And she had been right.

Months later she messaged me to tell me she was now in a safe, secure, calm and happy relationship.

The transformation wasn't avoiding heartbreak.

The transformation was developing self-trust.

The Ice Queen

Client C described herself as eternally single.

She believed there were no good men left.

Dating felt exhausting.

But as we explored her story, another picture emerged.

She had been married before.

Her husband had been unfaithful.

And although years had passed since the divorce, she was still protecting herself from being hurt again.

In my quiz she was a classic Ice Queen.

Not because she was cold.

Not because she didn't want love.

Because she had built walls around her heart.

The Ice Queen often appears confident and self-sufficient.

But underneath is usually a fear of vulnerability.

As we worked together, she began recognising how her avoidant behaviours were keeping people at a distance.

She wanted a relationship.

But she wasn't allowing anyone close enough to create one.

Once she understood this, everything started changing.

She healed the betrayal.

The hurt.

The fear.

And she started dating from a completely different place.

Not from fear.

Not from self-protection.

But from trust.

Within six months she met someone.

Within a year she had a baby.

Within eighteen months they were married.

The transformation wasn't finding the perfect man.

It was becoming emotionally available for the relationship she wanted.

What These Women Had In Common

At first glance, these women seem completely different.

One was a Lone Wolf.

One was a Fixer.

One was an Ice Queen.

Different stories.

Different fears.

Different relationship histories.

Yet all three shared the same underlying beliefs.

"It won't happen for me."

"I'll just get hurt again."

"There are no decent men left."

"I'm better off on my own."

And all three were willing to challenge those beliefs.

That's the real difference.

My most successful clients don't arrive knowing exactly what needs to change.

In fact, most of them don't.

But they are willing to explore the possibility that the problem isn't the men they're meeting.

The problem is the beliefs, fears and patterns running beneath the surface.

The Framework That Creates Change

Every client follows a version of the same framework.

We create clarity around what they truly want.

We uncover the subconscious fears that are holding them back.

We transform limiting beliefs.

We explore how past experiences have shaped present behaviours.

We heal old wounds.

We rebuild self-trust.

And we reconnect them with the woman they were before life taught them to protect themselves.

From that place, everything changes.

Not because life suddenly becomes perfect.

But because they stop living from fear.

The Real Transformation

The truth is that the transformation isn't always a relationship.

Sometimes it's a new career.

Sometimes it's moving house.

Sometimes it's travelling the world.

Sometimes it's making a decision they have been avoiding for years.

What always changes is the woman.

She becomes more confident.

More peaceful.

More secure.

More trusting.

More fulfilled.

And from that place, healthy relationships become possible.
